Brought my car in for what I already knew was a bad cv axle. After a $100 " evaluation" I was handed a $3,000 estimate. Shocks, sway bars, you name it. Not what I asked for or my car needed. When I reluctantly said replace the axle, after I waited for an hour for a shuttle that never showed up, I was told the axle has to be picked up in Oroville. Just a total lie. They are available and in stock all over town. And they wanted to charge for the estimate after I was told that if I had them do the work it would be waived. It was finally credited. Finally got my car back, the next day, and the broken part after I was told they " threw it away", and waited for Corey to take his hour and a half lunch, and my carpet has grease all over it. They cleaned my carpet gave me my old part and took my money. How are these people still in business?

Boradori, with help from Corey, got my car in the best shape it’s been in years. Also, I was unable to replace my wheels with a new set because the car is too low for my jack.Corey actually came to my house and picked up the wheels and took them to the shop, then came back again to deliver the old wheels. All after closing. Never thought I’d get that kind of service from any shop. Absolutely fantastic service. And no charge for carrying my wheels around.

Boradori is so incompetent that it’s hard to know to what extent they are malicious and predatory, but what is certain is that they will lie to you, break parts, and perform work that is of terrible quality. Boradori is undoubtedly the worst mechanic I have ever encountered. Never bring them a diesel. Never have Josh work on your truck. Never trust what Corey says. I came to them to have a couple fuel injectors replaced on an 87 f250 with a 6.9l IDI. A horror show ensued. Beware of Corey and Josh. Corey will have no issue lying to your face and Josh will break parts. The first round took three weeks just to fix the fuel injectors. The truck survived one drive before it died and had to be towed back. Let’s start with the first deception. They told me that my fuel lines needed to be replaced. You can absolutely re-use the fuel lines if they are working fine, which they were. That was the first red flag. Then when they failed to order the proper parts due to incompetence, they decided that my fuel lines just needed to have a part “fabricated.” The only fabrication was the story itself. It is still unclear to me what they fabricated. I was given no replaced parts. The fabrication was conspicuously the exact amount of the part replacement quote. I believe they just lied about the work to charge me the full quote amount. Boradori broke a component in my steering column and tried to charge me for the part and labor to fix it. That’s very illegal. They also claimed my batteries which worked fine before the truck went to their shop needed to be replaced to get the vehicle running again. I requested to receive my old batteries. I did not. I believe this is because they had no issues and I was lied to about the need for new batteries. Just another part mark up and some easy cash for them. At no point in the process could they provide me with an estimate of how long it would take to fix the truck. They lied over and over again about it being done the following day. This went on for over three weeks. They have clearly damaged my fuel system and the truck starts far worse than it did before I took it to them. That was for the three cold starts it survived after they released it to me the second time. It now no longer runs at all. This is after 2 months and 4500 dollars spent. To be clear, all the truck needed was a spray of starter fluid to start before and it ran great. I just wanted to be able to start it without starter fluid. That’s all I wanted. The starter fluid won’t even start the truck after they handled it. It sputters violently several times and then blows an enormous cloud of white smoke once it fires up. This did not happen before. Perhaps the most incompetent aspect of their treatment is that they lost my keys to the truck’s doors and lock box in the back. The keys they gave me unlock neither! I asked them to look at why the windshield wipers weren’t working which was a mistake. The truck had the ignition bypassed with a button from the prior owner but this system operated totally fine until Boradori touched it. They absolutely cannot be trusted with any electrical work. They attempted to fix my windshield wipers and in the process broke the steering column component for which they tried to charge me parts and labor. That’s straight up illegal. It seemed like standard operating procedure Don them, however. The wipers are now stuck on intermittent and as soon as that issue occurred the truck no longer turned over. I’ve hired a competent mechanic and will be seeking restitution for the negligence but I wanted to leave this review as a very sincere warning to anyone considering have these unscrupulous and incompetent mechanics work on their vehicle. Avoid Boradori like the plague that they are.

From the moment I called Boradori Automotive to inquire about an oil change for my vehicle, they were kind (and affordable)! I have been looking for my go-to spots in Chico since relocating from another part of the state, and it can feel especially vulnerable not knowing where to go for service on my car, as I depend on it so much for basic work commutes to long-distance driving. The staff is so knowledgeable, trustworthy, and kind (just like that initial phone call). Glad to know that I now have somewhere I can take my car to for service without hesitation, that is both reliable and reasonably priced! Special thanks to Zach, Jerrod (I hope I haven't misspelled their names)... and honestly, the entire Boradori team; not only for the work on my car, but for such a memorable experience!

Thank you so much for the amazing feedback Sunnie. I know what it's like to move to a new town and establish relationships with your essential services. Usually networking and recommendations are great for that, but that's hard to do when you don't know anyone. Thank you for giving us a try. Often times it is reviews like this that can help someone else in a similar situation as yours. We appreciate your business and glowing review. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
